We wanted to bring kids and adults "back into the kitchen".
We wanted our cooking classes/lessons to be about "real food".
Not the fanciful cuisine you find in restaurants. Our classes would
reach out to the "everyday" person or family and schedule
that required delicious, healthy and time managed dining.
For the novice cook, we want to build a repertoire of basic skills
and knowledge to boost self confidence in the kitchen. For children,
we want to endow them with the simplicity of cooking, inspire their
creativity and most of all have fun. For the intermediate to advanced
cooks, we love to teach you how to infuse layers of flavors in your
cooking as well as challenge your culinary skills with new techniques
and ingredients.
Teresa Kelly is no stranger to food and
family. She grew up in a large, Italian family that owned a deli
and catering business where she began working at the age of 9. She
started out her food science career studying the chemical reaction
of flavors and various ingredients. As a technologist she developed
new recipes, new products and flavor profile for fortune 500 companies
such as Nabisco, Nestle and many more. Studying flavor trends from
around the world, she became the only Marketing Food Technologist
in the worlds top 3rd flavor company. Not only does she know the
"technical" side of cooking but the creative and simplistic
style of home made.
Mary Ann Romano has been in the kitchen
since she was knee high. Spending time in the kitchen with her mother
and grandmother surely inspired her passion for cooking. With a
background in education, exercise physiology and motivational speaking
she has incorporated a concern for health and fitness into a realm
of wholesome foods and cooking. Numerous years of cooking classes
and seminars have all contributed to a free-form style of fresh,
flavorful fare.
It is a real joy for us to share our passion for cooking, teaching,
entertaining and corporate team management in our unique forum.
We look forward to continuing our quest for vibrant flavors, new
ingredients and cooking techniques. We look to the future and healthier
ways to prepare food one kitchen at a time. We hope yours will be
